They vary between brands. My 2005 Ford F250 PSD weighs 2700 lbs on the 9750 lb rear axle and originally had 6100 lb rated tires with a 7000 lb rated suspension. The RAWR reflected the lowest capacity of the rear at 6100 lbs which gave me 3400 lbs. My GVWR is 9800 lbs with an actual weight of 7200 lbs giving it 2600 lbs of payload based on the GVWR. GCWR on this truck is 23,000 lbs and FW towing is at 14,500 lbs which cannot be accomplished if you stay under GVWR but can be done if you watch your RAWR.
I have upgraded the suspension, rims and tires so I can use the more of the capacity of my stock Dana 60 front and Sterling 10.5 rear axles. As mine sits now, I can load the front to 6000 lbs (limited by suspension) and rear to 9000 lbs (limited by rims).
