Really? ??????? "The No Spin Zone"????...I find it hard to believe that you and O'Reilly have ANYTHING in common...because IF you do, we have a lot in common and I'm figuring that just isn't so....
One good thing, per you, that Rams are out numbered 10 to 1 ....cool, that's why my truck looks so doggone good and unique...It doesn't look like all the others....I like that, and it really is one great looking truck, inside and out and is a towing beast...I think it's kinda cool that those of us who own a Ram truck are "unique" as opposed to all the many, many, many same Ford looking alike trucks. Won't say anything bad about Chevy, owned WAYYY too many of them, but won't own a Ford...only because Ford has been shoved down our throats since I joined this forum, (and they don't want "MY money)...When I owned Chevy's, all I heard was how much better Ford was, (Dodge/Ram wan't even a part of the equation, then When I went to Dodge/Ram, it wasn't the Chevy guy's that gave the Ram owners all the grief, again, it was the Ford guys...Seriously why is that? Ram guys haven't had much to crow about for a while from what I've seen or read, (no cut on Dodge/Ram owners), but when they get a few accolades awarded to them, it's more the Ford guy's who want to cut on them more than anyone else and make fun of them..I really don't get it...I have nothing against Ford, but so much bitterness, name-calling over TRUCKS? Man, Israel fighting off the mid-east...passenger jet shot down by Commies? and people about to go to war over pick up trucks...guess I just don't get it.... - blt2skiModerator

Ian,
You should put a pickup after that HD truck part, Otherwise, you might get some smart asset like me, saying a pickup is a light duty truck! no matter the badging or gvwr, as an HD truck is over 55K lbs gvwr! :D is under 13500, 13501-55K is a medium duty twuck!
I do agree with the buy what you want, ALL are better than they used to be. etc etc.

Ok
RAM has claimed 30,000 towing along with other stats and many said it was not possible. Well RAM stepped up and they passed the SAE J807 tests for the 13/14 MY RAM 3500 Dually to be specific. They claim it's for the 15 MY but we all know the 13,14 and 15's are exactly the same for the RAM.
So I want an honest "no spin" answer from you. Will the same 13/14 configuration Ford with basically the same platform they had since 1999 pass the SAE test with all of Fords claims???????
Your claims are nothing earthshattering new.
The '13 are not the same platform as the '14... The 2500 still had the 5 link front suspension and leaf springs in the rear.
Will the 13/14 Ford's pass the SAE standards? I really don't know. Having said that, I'm not up to speed on the standard and how the trucks are measured/tested to validate meeting specifications and if there's any loop holes with the standard. What I do know is these new Fords (GM and RAM as well)are some really strong performers and with the larger turbo's will perform even stronger at the higher altitudes.
Tighten your seatbelt there will be more testing and documents out soon on the performance of these new trucks. :W And I LMAO ever time a Ford spanks their competition it's the Dodge boys crying foul. LMFAO... :B
I guess you missed the part about " 3500 Dually to be specific".

You wanted facts I gave them to you. At least you were honest saying "Will the 13/14 Ford's pass the SAE standards? I really don't know." - drillkingExplorerHad em all, I'll stay with Ford.

Ford used to advertise that over 80% of their trucks were still on the road. I guess the other 20% made it home. haha
I believe Ford advertised they had more trucks on the road with ~250,000 miles. I think this article could back that up (Except for the die in wool Dodge boys).
