Just another bit of downside in owning an MDT.. service.
I noticed my starting batteries reading 12.3 last night, and 12.0 this am. Not good, but they are OEM from 2008. The truck will start - which is amazing to me as my 7.3 wouldn't kick over with 2 batteries reading 12.4.
Anyway, replacing them is definitely not a diy for this owner. They're mounted under the rear of the cab with very little headroom. Looks like they'd have to be turned sideways to get out..either that or drop the holding plate. And there's a terminal block on one of them.
So, I'm at the Freightliner shop near Spokane. Drove right in, no waiting.
