The first dmax that was on the road that folks saw, pulling a trailer around the US telling about that motor, was a reg cab dually, pulling a 20K trailer, and it weighed 6000 lbs with the driver and an alternate driver person in it! I fully believe the OP has a dually truck that weighs 6000 lbs! I could do it with a 2013 or a 14 frankly!

Agree...but would also add that the 2013 or 14 for that matter, though light in weight, could easily handle the OP's 5er and wouldn't get pushed around by the load. Going by the example you gave of the D/A equipped Dually towing a 20K trailer.....( and being one of the"first" D/A trucks, per your example..it had to be an older model and they've come quite a long way since then....)
