My 2500 is light compared to trucks now days @ 68XX# with me and the DW full of fuel with my fifth wheel hitch in the truck. I pull 18,000# and my load don't push and pull on me. Going by what the OP is saying, he has a short and light DRW truck so sure it's going to ride like a buck board wagon. Heck, a buck board wagon probably would ride better. The biggest thing he is going to notice is how much harder it's going to become to maneuver his rig. This is one reason why I haven't went to a Class 8 truck yet. I don't need one but I love them and want one just because. The fuel mileage on the MDT and a class 8 will suck compared to what I get now also.
