Well what makes your trucks better in the water then? Do they in close all electrical work then and enclose the engine area? Not being a smart ... but just curios. Here in the US plenty of people put there 4x4 trucks well off road. Especially in Florida, these boys here buy a brand new shiny truck and take it right to the woods. I can tell you from personal experience they have no problems driving them through swamps etc... all across America, guys really use there trucks for farming etc... I can tell u from growing up on a remote farm, we used our 4x4 vehicles all the time and they were abused horribly, but they got the job done. ..so another question is what about you rvs? How can they withstand the water so deep and get no damage ? Just wondering how they build it to withstand that punishment. I see you point about camping in remote areas in your country. Actually that's pretty cool !
On edit cool pics btw...
We used too use the same Pickups as you , same deal as regards abuse and use, but the 1 tonne Utes have taken over, no comparison.
As far as the RV’s go move too separate frames and suspension systems, composite materials.. Need a website too explain them. They, the Off Road RV’s are the fastest expanding section of camping vehicles in Australia
HD Pickups do have small prescence in Australia, but that footprint is declining.
US vehicles generally are in a bad way here. GM’s Subsidiary Holden has gone from No.1 too 10th. Colorado Pickup is roughly 17th in overall sales. Ford is not as bad currently 5th ,buoyed by the locally developed Ranger and Everest SUV . Other Ford SUV’s and cars do not sell.
Who is No.1? You guessed Toyota. It’s Hilux Pickup being No.1 closely followed by the Ranger, next surprisingly is the Mitsubishi Triton. The Navara which MAY replace your ancient Frontier, is much bigger. What it does lack is sales joining the Colorado as an also ran.
