I have the TST system and have run rubber valve stems for two years and over 3000 miles with no problems.

I did the same thing at first, but keep and eye on the rubber stems. The constant flexing caused by the weight of the sensors eventually cracked 2 of my rubber valve stems so I switched to metal stems. IMO the flex will eventually crack rubber stems.
