In answer to the HAND IN THE DESERT, well, it is literally in the desert, not real close to any town. It is 2 hours south of Baquedano, Chile on the west side of the Pan American Highway (can be seen just off the highway).... this location is about 5 hours NORTH of COPIACO - That is the town where those miners were trapped, and lifted out via a capsule!
As I said, the blog is far from being completed, and the slide show does not show all the pics, you have to go to the entries one by one and there are more pics.
There was others with the group, campers sprinter also. the truck campers is the most practical .. i think?
