Whats the best mouse deterrent? i tried mouse poison and it worked but now I'm finding dead mice. One climbed into the hood of a jacket and died. Oh the smell. Can't find how they got into the travel...

You can't deter (without deterring your own willingness to enter), only kill. Poison and glue traps work. Mice can get in a 1/4" crack, so it's lot's of work to figure out how they're getting in. If you can, put poison around outside as a first line of defense.
