Want to get a set of new tires for our just-acquired 2012 GMC 2500HD. Was thinking of getting Michelin LTX (245/75R17) because we had them on our F250 and I liked them. Bought those 4 or so years ag...

Talked to the Guy selling the Michelins on CL last night and he only has two left. A dealer just bought 24 of them on the weekend that he had. So it may be cheaper to get the pair and find a couple more new ones somewhere. His tires are dated '18 or '19 and were removed from a fleet purchase of trucks at a local dealer.
Another brand is a possibility but don't know what the end cost would be?
Besides having to buy a replacement truck and to spend a grand on new tires and $1500+ on a canopy, it's getting to be an expensive camping season and we've only done about 10 nights so far. Things all started when DW dropped her new Samsung phone last week and smashed the glass on the back. :E And the TT is due for new tires and toilet and tongue jack need replacing. Good thing there isn't a bridge nearby here.
