Don, didn't google you. I know several people who know you personally and some have for years. Nope, I'm not going to give you any names and doubtful they will tell you names either! Thanks for the invite and if in your area and have time when you're home, I might give you a call and maybe meet. I don't have horns nor have a bright red arm band either. What you will see is a very happy retired longtime business owner who believes in established facts rather than opinions or hearsay etc.
I do understand your issue with the standard 3/32 being time to must be replaced and it's for safety sake. Michelin nor any other tire manufacturer had set that rule/law as bald tires are a formula for disaster not only for the vehicle's occupants but anyone else on the same road location. Tire wear miles warranteed is from full new tread depth to the wear bars and expressed in percentage of wear within the time in months/years of warranty coverage.
