FWIW, Our trucks 2500+ (3/4 ton and 1 ton) all have and had "E" range tires and are always inflated to 80 psi. No excuses period! Some trucks ride very harsh empty at 80 psi inflation but ours do not and is part of why we purchase what we do. Our cars, vans, and suv's tires are always inflated to the max inflation level stated on the tire as are our RV's, boat trailers, and utility trailers etc. Underinflation or low inflation and/or hard cornering is a killer to the tire's carcass structure. Extreme flexing creates ever higher heat buildup in tires and structure/compound fatigue which is the major cause of blowouts.
Not that I think anyone will listen but rather just do what they have for years on end and then complain about the resulting issues.
True that some tires are better to much better made than others however, the better tires tend to cost more to much more and most Americans always want cheap, cheap, cheap! Look what sells in the stores today and how do you think those products replaced our once "Made in the USA" products?
