Nope! Don't live in Northern Michigan. I live in southwestern Lower Michigan on the shore of Lake Michigan west of Grand Rapids about a hundred miles north of Indiana and have for 71 years now. 2 - 2 1/2 months each year the Michelins on our truck is down south in Florida, from north Florida to the West Palm Beach area (Jupiter) where my bro lives. That's means the tires are both north and south of both of you two during every year.
I have no idea why some of the posters have sidewall cracks in their Michelin tires but do not and never have yet. Only one set of Michelins has been on for 9+ years in the past and it still didn't have any cracks however, we sold the vehicle so I do not know if any cracks developed later in the sidewalls. The girl who bought it lived in another city roughly 20 miles south so we haven't seen it since. If the tread depth is still adequate we usually only keep tires for up to 7 years before replacing them.
