Michelin Tires

michelin is the largest volume provider in this category
none of this is anecdotal evidence
it is scientific evidence .
the bad thing about michelin is , they charge extra for their higher quality.
regarding cracking i have 3 sets of michelins that are 6 years old ,
none have any cracking . that is anecdotal evidence , btw , for those who do not remember the difference between anecdote and antidote .

Note that I mentioned in my post the OEM Michelins on my Ram had plenty of remaining tread on them. But, they also had enough sidewall cracking (some of it more than superficial) that was serious enough the Michelin dealer recommended their replacement. I did replace them with the identical Michelin tire, and just short of 4 years later, they are beginning to crack as well.

I have no issue paying for quality, but if the tire carcass can't outlast the tread, what's the point? :h

This isn't antidote, anecdote or scientific. It's my real life experience with Michelins............
