Our micro is under the counter height so the walls can fold. In a high wall unit the micro could be even higher. Our micro is maybe 18" above the floor, it works and requires no extra setup.
I don't understand why you would want to stow away an appliance and get it out again every stop. Seems like a lot more work than simply bending over a little to use a permanently installed one. Why make camping harder than necessary?
A-frame campers fold, its a fact, due to that there are compromises.
I do use the microwave alot to make certain things that i need to eat. its an appliance i have to have.
in order to see into the unit as its cooking i would just about have to get down on the floor. its about using it with ease. putting it away for traveling is a small price to pay for being able to use it when i am standing up. i am not overweight and have no problems getting down on the floor but i just would rather not have to when i need to use it.
i eat ALOT... and i eat all the time... so cooking is a necessity for me so i dont spend tons of money eating out.
i will also be taking my crock pot with me as well. i will be needing to spend alot of time in the camper so i want to make it as comfortable as i can.
