Looks like it was squatting quite a bit. I’ll bet when it started swaying it was all over the road and it flipped over!!!

I love these threads! Everyone seems to 'know' what caused the wreck. Speculation runs rampant. My theory is he was smoking a cigarette and dropped it. While he was fumbling around trying to get it, a gust of wind came up at exactly at that moment. He is on flat land with a large body of water nearby, which is conducive for windy conditions. When he felt the swaying of the trailer, he suddenly sat up and overcorrected for the swaying and this is the result. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. ;)

I don't think a WD hitch is needed at all. That trailer has no wag at all now. Looks steady as a rock to me!

It might have worked just a bit better if the coupler was attached to the ball.
