Miles per tank-the tale of two fuels
I've been reading a lot here about the Dodge 6.4 and CTD. Both look promising for what I need/want. Can I get some averages of those have a 2014/15 of each, of miles to the tank of just daily driving?...

It is not as seriously unsafe as one may first think.
With today's smart cell phones, you can set it to take multiple photos at once. Then just keep adjusting the tilt on the phone, taking photos while keeping your eye on the road. Stop and examine the photos later once safely stopped. Throw away all the excess and you have the one as shown here, without being a danger to yourself or others on the road.
Really no big deal.
