More privacy in the Toy Hauler...A modification

My Forest River 19RR toy hauler has a curtain to separate the bed from the main area. but this leave you no place to dress up when folks are sitting in the living area.

Today I solved it. Went to the local Bed and Bath store and bought a cloth 70" X 72" shower curtain and then to the Home Depot for a 3/8" steel rod

Drilled a hole above the closet and one in the wall in front of the bathroom door toward the living area.

Rod and curtain installed (doubled up the curtain as you could see through it if only one thickness.

Now the bathroom, closet and bed area are all behind this curtain

  • I did something very similar... I have a wardrobe cabinet directly across from my bathroom door, so I put the curtain where you can access wardrobe and dress in the hallway. I used a shower curtain rod, so I didn't have to do any actual drilling or screwing type work. One of the best ideas ever... a little more room to dress without being exposed to living area.
