So where are all the parts of the vehicles made? Assembling is one thing. Assembling parts made outside of the United States doesn't really scream "Made in America" to me. It screams "Assembled in America". I'd like to know the percentage of parts that are made in america and then assembled in America for each car and truck.
Well haven’t looked at the shocks on our 2016 Ram yet, but the OEMs on the 2001 were made in Brazil. - Found this on TMC. 2020 stats. My guess is the both the Cybertruck and the Rivian will both be high on the list. Looks like Cybertruck will be built in Texas. Rivian has a facility in Illionois but has not announced where the truck will be built.

- JIMNLINExplorer IIIOne thing we do know is a engine or tranny or any automotive parts can be made over seas but because all those foreign made parts are assembled in the USA it gets the "made in the USA" stamp.
The new made in the USA rules came in the mid '00s. - philhExplorer IIIIt a useless and ridiculous calculation.
If an OEM imports an incomplete alternator, it's missing say something like a ground wire and screw, and that is installed in NA, the cost of the whole product is considered NA content. - colliehaulerExplorer IIIFor 2020 number 2 was the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The article included the following:
"The American-Made Index considers five main factors in its ranking:
The final assembly location
The origin of parts in the car as reported for the AALA
The origin country (or countries) for its engines
The origin country (or countries) for transmissions
The number of Americans its parent automaker employs at the factory level"
.....feel better now?
I'd feel better if you were more mature.
Just pointing out something you probably missed :C - ppineExplorer IIIIn spite of the rhetoric by politicians, most supply chains involve lots of different countries. Vehicles are not exception. One of the reasons tariffs will never work.
- midnightsadieExplorer IInone of this is new, we,ve not made auto,s since the 50,s we assemble the parts made all over the world. low bidder makes the parts we put them together.
