Unfortunate that the Canadian cops are so anal. In the states there is not a problem unless the truck is obviously overloaded and sagging in the rear.

I do most of my camping in my fifth wheel in the US already so I guess I will use my truck camper there as well until I get everything sorted out. I purchased this truck camper as a bit of a test to see if I would like it. Until this test is over I would like to keep using my current truck. I have used the camper only once so far as I got it only a few weeks ago. By the end of next summer I'm sure I will know if its going to stick around for awhile. If it does, maybe a different truck will be in the works.
