I don't think it's EV dreamers who start these threads. The ones I've participated in recently have been started by NeverEVers who just seem to want to flaunt their ignorance. That brings out folks like the Turtle who can't even remember what point they are trying to make. Little of this has anything to do with RVing.
From what I can tell, there are a number of folks here who actually believe climate change is a hoax and we could be burning fossil fuels forever more. When people are so invested in that level of ignorance you can't expect to have a rational discussion. Everyone here would be happier if EVs became off limits, along with politics and religion.
