Mounting Bracket for TV

We purchased a 2015 Jayco. In the bedroom there is marking on the wall to place a TV. However the bracket i saw at Best Buy would not mount properly as the screws are too long and would puncture the outside wall if inserted all the way into the wall.

Any suggestions? Jayco gave me the names of their supplier and I reached out to them, but in case that does not work, looking for suggestions from this group.

Thanks
Mike
  • The answer is to go to the hardware store and get the thickest diameter lag bolt that can fit through the hole in the mounting bracket - take it with you. Pick a length that wont go through the wall.

That is how I mounted mine.
  • Smaller screws *may be* the answer here, but also be aware that there are weight considerations in play, and those calculations take into account the screws that are holding the mounting bracket into the wall. Smaller screws can translate to less holding power.
