In the overall scheme of things... nah! But as a working full timer:B, I have more flexibility than the weekend warrior or vacationer. When diesel prices are high, I sit a little longer and when prices are lower, I travel more frequently.
I'm probably averaging $450/mo/yr for campground fees. The "geezer" pass cuts my campground costs in half, making Fed and C.O.E. parks a real bargain @ $11-$12/nite. Many city and county parks are $20/nite or less. Florida also extends 1/2 price camping in SPs to State residents age 65 and over... a bennie I'll start enjoying next month.:C
I can't recall paying more than $550/mo for a monthly rate at a commercial campground. In fact, I'm currently in an adult park on the St. Johns River for $350/mo with FHUs, cable, an actual good working WiFi system, laundry facilities, a bath house and my own little mail slot...lol. So... no... mpg doesn't much matter. I'm trailer trash everyday.:B
