i used to tow 65 to 70 mph .
i had graduated to a tow setup that made it comfortable .
about 5 years ago when fuel got way too expensive i dropped my towing speed to 59 mph or so .
yes it has affected me .
i had made some extended trips east and also into mexico .
i suspect i will never do either again .
now we have a circle of campers that love to boondock camp together .
no hookups , no ranger , no fees .
Oregon is made for that .
plenty of spots alongside a stream , ponderosa pines for cover , and a vacated rock fire ring by the elk hunters the previous fall .
