That's cool that you were able to change your brakes at the campsite. Do you carry socket wrenches and mechanic tools with you when you travel? It was towing so maybe you had enough room in the trailer to not worry about weight. I had to filter out the tools I really feel I need. Or really want to need (a 120v stick welder somehow made the cut).
This was a jeepin' trip to Colorado. 4 or 5 of us hauled our Jeeps out the to the Buena Vista area for 10 days of trail riding in the mountains. We haul all the tools and spares we can, so I had lots of tools, floor jacks, jack stands, etc. On none jeep trips, I usually just carry one tool bag full of tools. I wish I could find a 115v DC stick welder that I could run off of my EU2000i Honda generator, but I think the generator is just too small. I have been looking into 24v stick welding, but it takes two car batteries to do it right. Yeh, I have a steel job site box on the front of my trailer, so I can get lots of tools and spares in there.
