As a former claims adjuster, my advice is document, document, document.
In settling this loss with insurance co., it is a matter of documentation to determine the value of your loss.
Check on line or at local dealers for similar TT's. The asking price is often not the actual selling price. Have the material you have found available so you can support what you believe to be the value of your loss.
Don't know what your insurance policy covers as to contents of the trailer (personal items). Check with your adjuster as to what is covered under your trailer policy and your may need/want to make a claim under your homeowner's policy for the contents.
If you are thinking about making a claim under homeowners policy, check with you agent about how the ins. co. treats homeowners losses. Some carriers will not renew a policy if you have a certain number of claims within a specified time period. i.e. 2 claims in 2 years.
