Thanks everyone, I did look at NADA last night and was surprised how much it was still worth. I didn't know about public adjusters, if it comes to that, I will go that route. They said they will come back with the value next week, of course, they wouldn't tell me over the phone right away. Sadly, this isn't the insurance company that I have everything insured through, or else I would have more leverage. As far as personal belongings, there wasn't much that low in the camper, a coffee maker and some nice zero gravity chairs.
I was not camping at the time. Wednesday I hear there was a lot of rain north of the site from Tuesday. Then Thursday, the neighbor camper told us it was fine and the camper had a little bit of water under it, but not inside. Saturday morning we go to check it out, we find out the water went up another 3', someone said a dam broke causing all the extra water. Saturday, I might go back up and see if an adjuster can get back there to take pictures.
There was an outhouse on the site that flopped on it's side, there was also a plastic shed with a riding lawn mower that's on it's side. We had about a full cord of firewood, a few adirondack chairs and a table that are probably down stream.
There was also a brand new $30,000 camper on the property and another similarly priced one at the neighbor's property. My in-laws, who own the land, had an older, but still nice camper that got destroyed, too.
