X2 My TC moves a little in my bed but I don't pay any attention to it. It generally moves a little when I hit that unexpected bump in the road.
Believe me, if mine hadn't shifted so much- I have zero from my left jack to my rear door handle, and almost 10" space on the right (I had 5" on each side when I started out) I wouldn't worry. That's 5" of side movement at the front of the camper in a few hundred miles.
Amazingly, all the tie-downs are the same tension as when I left (though the LF one is now pinning my fuel door closed and I couldn't open it w/o removing the tie-down).
I don't believe a few 1X4s will hold it given the weight of the camper, but I suspect the rail set described above (made from 2X6 or more) will have a shot at tamping the wandering beast.
