My Ecoboost most recent mpg's

Those numbers sound familiar. My experience also showed very accurate MPG readings on the info screen.

We just did the same camping trip and sight-seeing with our 6.2 F250 that we used to do with the F150 eco. The day trips usually ended with a 22MPG average in the eco. Now, the same type of driving came out to just shy of 17MPG with the 6.2. Not bad for a gas 3/4 ton but can't beat the eco.

Hey Mitch. Same truck as yours (2011 though). On a 4 hour return trip today averaged 21 mpg one way and 20 mpg returning. Average speed 70-75 mpg so am pleased with those numbers. I have about 30k miles and have noticed mileage has improved over the past while.

Hmmmm. 2009. Did a little search and read that the project's been shelved in favour of the straight Ecoboost. Dunno if that's true or not ... Goto 31 Oct entry

Yeah, not sure either. The actual article I read I could not find. It was recent. The link was what I could dig up quickly.
Let's face it... even a regular V-8 EcoBoost would be nice on a Superduty.

I read an article recently that a Ford is working on a V-8 EcoBoost that has two fuel tanks... One unleaded, the other E-85. When extra power is needed the truck uses the higher 130 octane E85. It said most won't use a lot of E85, but mileage is expected to be well in the mid to upper 20's in a Superduty. This was an article based on an interview with Ford. It is already in testing. I'm waiting with baited breath. It is targeting the next redesign, for 2017, coming out in 2016.
