Fatmanobx - I have not yet had any dragging problems, but I'm sure at some point I will. I definitely think about it when I'm going in and out of steep driveways.
msiminoff - I agree that my setup isn't the most efficient, but I wanted to isolate the charging of my camper batteries from the truck batteries because I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to have the alternator charging 2 different types of batteries - lead acid in the truck and agm batteries in the camper. I figured my alternator is making plenty of power and I doubt i'll really notice a difference in fuel mileage if I were to change the setup.
Also, my tripp lite inverter is my main battery charger. When I'm on shore power, that is the charger that is charging my battery bank. As I said in my original post, the pd 4645 is only used to run my refrigerator while going down the road and keep the batteries topped off.
My batteries are Vmax charge tanks - model slr125. They are rated at 125ah. I couldn't find too much info on them but they were priced well so I thought i'd take a chance. So far, so good.
