Learned long ago with an outboard motor on a new to us boat to add Stabil to gas and only use real gas not ethanol gas. Everything we have gets it now including the Honda and it sets thru the winter full, only starting it once a month to load it for about 45 min. No problems. The old boat, apparently, couldn't be kept running by previous owner and so he sold it. He'd let it set long term partially film and no Stabil. That's all we did different and never had any problem. Our son still has it, is an 89 motor.
