We are back!!! After several months of limiting camper expeditions to dry weather it is time to wrap up this project and get onto enjoying the inclement weather opportunities. I am sold that a truck camper is perfect for my lifestyle... I just need to reseal mine after it's tumble and structural repair.
A week ago I pulled it into the shop after ordering about $600 of aluminum from Interstate Metals which is conveniently located near me in Portland.
Pictures Speak 1000 words so here they are.....
I used electric sheet metal sheers to cut the fiberglass which worked great and created less dust than the abrasive cutting wheel that I had been using. I also scraped away the foam/paper insulation with a putty knife exposing the blue foam insulation and aluminum frame.
