I am incredibly blessed too. My wife of 57 years loves to camp or stay anywhere in one of our RV's. All our RV's are right behind the large very well kept home in the very large fenced in landscaped backyard and in front of and alongside the large pole toy barn finished off to look just like the home from the ground to the top of the 22' high roof peak. Toy barn has it's own 14' wide side driveway from the road back increasing in width after the drive thru 16' fence gate to 32' wide back to the toy barn. Backyard is totally fenced in with 730 feet total length of chain link fence. We live just outside the city limits in the township.
My wife often says. "lets go sleep in "X" RV tonight" or maybe 2-3 nights. I Ain't no fool as I can't agree fast enough! I mean any month of the year and we live in West Michigan by Lake Michigan! Do it often!
Yes, I do have two 30amp RV electric connections, a 3" sewer connection going to the home's septic system kind of half way between 2 of the RV's and a two 10' long moveable 3" dia above ground white plastic pipes with a swivel elbow on one end which connects to the underground sewer extension and the elbow pointing up on the other accepts the slinky end from the RV. A water hose can connect to either the toy barn or the back of the home spigots. We have 3 Porta Potties (two large ones with 5 gal waste tanks and one that has a 2'1/2 gal waste tank) or use the RV holding tanks and pull the handle and dump in the sewer to the septic tank.
So cheap to do and is to code (inspected and approved) and has been there since I put all in back about 30 years ago. We'll NEVER live in an HOA controlled area, PERIOD!
Our 54th year of RV'ing and now we also take the 5th wheel down to Florida for ~2 months, early Jan til into March.
Camping in the RV in your own yard is wonderful! You never get into an argument or complain about your site and you know the CG owner so well. NO daily fees ever and you already know the neighbors and the neighborhood so well. If you need anything from home or food items, it's just feet away! An added bonus is that you have guaranteed parking for both your vehicles/vehicles and your RV anytime and never crowded!!!
