HELP! Wife wants to go camping!!!!
Ok a little preamble....I've been camping all my life, Tents, Backpacking, Motorcycles, Truck Campers, and now a Toy Hauler. My wife went on exactly one camping trip with me 30 years ago. A PU truck camper with no shower and no toilet.....That did it! Never again. (Not sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing...;) )
Last year I sold my latest TC (which had a shower and toilet, but not up to Hilton standards) and bought a new 20' Toy Hauler. Real toilet and a real shower and tub! TVs, Microwave....Living large!
My wife has visited it a few times in the driveway, actually sat on the couch and laid on the bed! She even offered that it was "nice"!
One of our grand daughters plays in a traveling softball league and my wife just called and said she has a tournament in Greenfield Massachusetts the weekend of July 16...."And why don't we take the camper and spend the weekend"..!!! (Not sure this is good or bad....)
So, I've never stayed in an RV park. Most of my camping has been deep woods, boondocking, state parks or in a parkinglot or on a field attending some kind of motorcycle or shooting event. Camping has usually been a means to an end and not for the camping experience. I motorcycled from Massachusetts to Alaska and slept in a one man tent for 5.5 weeks. Lots of cross country motorcycle trips sleeping in cemeteries, in median strips, behind abandoned buildings and on picnic tables in rest stops!
I think an RV park rather than a picnic table might be just the ticket in this situation.
I need suggestions of a nice, clean RV park with hook ups in the Greenfield MA area. Price is not an issue....Must be clean and make a great first impression.
Any suggestions?
THANKS!...Wish me luck!
