Narrowed the choice down to 2...

Thank you everyone for all the replies to ALL my questions. We have narrowed our search down to 2 F150 6.2l lariats.

Vehicle 1

Vehicle 2

Again thanks for the help and being patient with us during this process. Hope to be able to post pictures of our new vehicle.

The 6.2 models will be thirsty for sure however, the towing mileage will be comparable to the ecoboost trucks from what I've seen. Empty driving is where the eco beats it quite a bit. The OP said he was hesitant on the ecoboost engine, so if your dead set on the 150 the 6.2 would be my second choice.

We have not seen the 7350 one yet but my dad went and looked he said the limit was 1590.

Don't have any info on the other one yet.

That's surprisingly high. Maybe because its a 2wd model and not 4x4.

Also, for others, these look like 2011 model year trucks, so not new and I'm assuming no where near sticker price.

That is correct they are 2011 models.
  • The truck with the 7350lb GVW and Lariat package will be short on payload for sure.
  • Have you seen these trucks in person? Wondering what their payload will be. Not sure how heavy the 6.2 engine is, but even with the 7,700 gvwr max tow, it might be pretty light on payload. The second one only had the 7350 gvwr package, and being heavier than my truck I'm guessing its payload is going to be quite low.

  • Those are pretty nice trucks. Just out of curiosity since you are spending that much how come you arent interested in a 3/4 with that size trailer?

We have looked but we can't find a F250 6.2 lariat in white. We even had a car finder service try to find one and a no go.
