About 20 years ago my former govt. employer spent $400K on a CNG fueling facility at its main fleet maintenance shop. The county mayor proclaimed this was the "future" and extolled the virtues of all the money to be saved with CNG vehicles.
They bought about 6 CNG fueled F150's and a couple of CNG powered cars as a test. Fast forward to the present, the CNG fueling facility stands unused, the "test fleet" long gone.
