Need advice on new truck

I had serious reservations about buying a new diesel as well. I bought a 2014 Duramax about 2 1/2 months ago and it is my first diesel. I am thoroughly impressed with it. I replaced a GMC with the 6.0 liter gasser. I am saving money with the diesels fuel economy both empty and loaded (about $40 per month). We took our first trip with the TT in tow a couple weeks ago. 600 easy miles and a savings of about $60 in fuel over our old truck. Even DW commented on how much better the trip was with the new truck. Set the cruise and relax. I have only put 2,500 miles on it so far with no need for a visit to the dealer. An extended warranty can provide piece of mind for repairs if needed.
