Torklift products might be more expensive than other products. However, well worth the expense in the long-term. Super easy to use and durable.
We purchased this kit for our 2002 F-250 7.3L PSD
http://www.torklift.com/tie_downsand installed it ourselves. The directions were good. No drilling required. The front attach to the truck frame while the rear slide into the side of the receiver hitch. When we're not using the camper, these remove easily & quickly. Be sure to purchase the correct set for your truck model & year. Because we have a shortbox truck, the front set is a bit tight on one side (fuel tank in the way) but with a bit of patience, it worked out.
Torklift's FastGuns
http://www.torklift.com/fastguns are super for securing the camper to the tie-down brackets. Once they're set up, snap them on and snap them off. Setting the length isn't difficult.
Absolutely no complaints about the product. Much easier than using turnbuckles and chains to secure the camper to the truck, and no risk of the turnbuckle loosening off while you're moving. This happened to us a few times with a previous camper.
Depending on your shop's hourly rate, $300 might not be unreasonable. The dealer where we purchased the camper had a shop rate of $120/hour. No thanks ... we did it ourselves. Took us about 2 hours as first-time installers.
