My 2010 F150 has a tow rating of 11,200 lbs. I pulled a popup for a while and at around 3500 lbs gross weight I could barely even tell it was there. Now I have a TT that has a dry weight of around 5500 and gross weight of 7700 and, while it certainly labors more than it did with the popup, it still pulls this one just fine. That said, I wouldn't want to go any heavier, purely for gas mileage reasons.
