NEED HELP IDENTIFYING PART

Can someone please tell me the name of this part and exactly what it does? It's corroded and I want to replace it when I install the new battery. It's connected to the positive terminal wire. Thanks!!!

  • I'm sorry but that's not a fuse.
It's a breaker and even though it says "Batt" on one side, it is not polarity conscious. They just mark them that way to keep the questions down.
  • its called a inline fuse, some where on it there should be a marking for how meny amps it is,and can be bought any any auto parts store , you could follow the wire and see whats hooked up to it.
  • That is an auto resetting breaker. Kinda like a fuse that doesn't burn out but instead it resets itself. You can get them at any auto parts place and they're inexpensive.
It will be marked with its current rating.
