The problem is not with Chinese tires.
The problem is with the lack of oversight the company purchasing the tire exerts of the manufacturing process.
Michelin has facilities in China but does not export the to the USA. To Canada yes USA no. That said a Michelin is a Michelin and wherever made
it is made to Michelin SPECS. NO qualms should be had buying them.
Other companies buy tires made in China by Chinese but put no effort into ensuring a quality product. They just buy a certain number of tires supposedly made to a certain spec. Others just buy tires and have the company manufacturing put their name on them
