4wd and diesels are heavier than other options, that is why "paper" payload is going to be lower, but true is that diesels do come with stronger axles and with TC , where almost all weight to to the rear -heavier front helps in handling.
It is mind-scrambling system, so to make it easier, worry only about your rear axle. Check the sticker for rear axle rating, make sure tires are good for it and calculate if adding camper weight on it will be safe.
Not too many campers come heavier than 350-series dualy axle can handle, so don't overthink the issue, unless you are buying triple slide.
It is only a single slide but it is 11.5 ft long and has on board generator and dry bath.
