- bigfootfordNomad IIIThere are a couple of RV parks in Larkspur/Greenbrae ... Walking distance to the Ferry! Take the Ferry over to SF and ride the trollies, take a tour, visit the Wharf etc.
This one is the best.. Reservations are needed.. 10 min walk to the ferry!

You can drive your TC to things that are on the North side of the bay... Go see the Maritime Museum in Sausalito, the WWII bunkers and lots more! Easy to get around with the TC.
Driving the TC in downtown SF is something I would not do!
Jim - burningmanExplorer IIMy advice for SF? Bring money!!
- work2muchExplorerYou can also take the train into the city from numerous stops along the north bay. We used to take the train from Redwood City to the end of the line near ATT stadium. From there Uber or taxi is the best way to get around SF. The surface streets are a mess to drive.
- There is a surface lot next to the Colma BART station $2 for 24 hours.
Not sure if you can camp there but overnight parking would seem to be allowed. - Buzzcut1Nomad IIIf you don't want to deal with SF traffic at all you can safely park on the surface streets of Dublin or Pleasanton in the east bay and ride the BART train into SF, you can also stay at the RV Park at the nearby Alameda County Fairgrounds. The Powell and Embarcadero street stations put you downtown with an easy walk to AT&T park, Fishermans Warf and Chinatown. or take the N Juda Streetcar from the Powell street station which will take you up to Golden Gate Park.
Conversely you can park for free at Crissy Field in the Presideo right on the bay and walk to the Golden Gate Bridge or to Fishermans Warf.
