Neighbors... introduce or hermit?

Sooo, what do you do?

After setting up camp, do you introduce yourself to your neighbors, invite them for drinks, borrow their firewood and become a pain in the neck or do you retire to your condo and look out the windows at all the other freaks in the camp ground?

It's a Pinot Grigio night, with Farkle and a crowd at the table. And RV.net...

  • Neighbors?? :h

You must mean the Coyotes. They only talk late at night, around my neighborhood. My guess is you need to pick a neighborhood that best has neighbors that you like. Which is what I do, in picking none.

even when we stayed at La Pine State Park near you we tried to pick a spot with no one on either side
  • I have always introduced us to new neighbors be it us setting up or new folks coming in setting up next to us.

Doesn't take much to 'read' the other folks and decide whether or not continued conversations/interactions will be worth while.

VERY rare occasions that is wasn't worth while.

Still in touch with several couples that we meet during our FT travels.
  • We are polite and friendly but basically stay to ourselves. We camp to get away and reconnect with each other. We stay home to connect with family and friends.
  • Heheh, cheers...

Usually, the neighbors aren't wanting to go beyond the "Hi, how are ys.." but sometimes they are...

I'll respond with like responses after initiating an Howdy... but that's about it, as far as it goes...
