Never remove camper?
I've got the call up to run the local school car pool and the Truck just doesn't hold enough kids to get the job done. I'm considering two options get a suburban and a tent trailer or leave camper on...

Sounds like you made your decision. My CC used to be a daily driver, since I quit driving it every day (when diesel went over $2/gal.), I've put less than 25k miles on it, my commuter on the other hand, has gotten over 100k miles; in my case, I was definitely dollars ahead by not driving the vehicle I already had, both in fuel costs; and everything else that would have needed to be done to the truck (as it is, it's got 200k miles).
Cheap commuter cars, especially something like a minivan are a dime a dozen.
