New 2013 pricing F250

Went to check out a new TV today as my company owned one is on its last legs.

It was a 2013 F250 PSD SRW 4x4 Lariat, pretty much fully loaded. Sticker was $61,300. I figured since the 2015s are coming out in the next few months they would really be trying to move the 2014s, let alone 2013 models. All they offered was $53,200, which was $2,500 in bonus cash plus a little extra. This seems a bit high to me considering its almost two model years old. It was any better of a deal that I could get on a 2014.

Any one buy a 2013 or 2014 F250 lately and get a killer deal?
  • Thanks for all the good advise guys. Just saw the 2015 Sierra. That's a nice truck too!
  • I did the same thing your looking at doing last year, bought a 2012 in 2013. Mine was 13k off the sticker, had 7 miles on it when I test drove it, and I got a good deal on my trade. Keep looking and you'll find a dealer that wants to sell trucks and not show them off on their lot.
  • The 2015's are on dealers lots right now and they have the new improved 6.7 that is supposed to be the best one yet....bigger turbo, better fuel system, more horsepower and torque. With the power my 2014 6.7 has I can't imagine what the 2015 Powerstroke is going to be like.
  • That's no deal at all on an almost-2 model year old truck. That's why they still have it, they don't deal much. Lots of other dealers out there.
  • The 2013 6.7's were about 9-10k off when I got my 6.2. Got 8500 off my 14 6.2 with the trade-in value I wanted on my old truck. Some dealers do well enough to stick to their best price. Others will move if you give a reasonable offer and walk when they don't bite. They may call you a few minutes later:)
  • I got mine for $33k drive off because of family running the dealership. I have a buddy who got a 2013 F-350 PSD 4x4 for $46k drive off in June of 2013 at Mack Haik ford, you just have to find a dealer ready to sell and have good negotiation skills.
  • They typically give out the best deals in areas of the country where the economy is really slow. Yet California dealerships seem to be selling them like hotcakes, so you might have better luck calling a Ford dealership in Utah or someplace else.

And if this dealership is still hanging onto a 2013 - and not willing to give SOMEONE a bargin on it, then they will not be giving you a deal on a 2014 either, they just do not know how to give a good deal to someone. Try some other local dealerships. Look for one that has a higher volume of truck sales. Your company should be calling the fleet departments of various dealerships in your area, then send out a "Spec" for the truck they need. They will have all the dealerships fax in their best price on a certain time and day, then all the prices will be compared, and a truck selected.

    Good luck!

    Fred.
