New 2015 Bullet Premier Defect

I noticed on the 30th day of ownership that where the rear wall meets the roof, it had become separated. Dealer is thinking they need to replace the rear wall both inside and out. I was wondering if anyone has had this issue and what the solution was.

  • Just brought my 2015 Premier home for some cleaning and waxing. Looks like I'll have to do a close inspection of everything to make sure this isn't happening anywhere. We've been lucky so far with our unit.
  • Cutting the Filon too short definitely makes sense. I assume they knew this as the trailer was going doing the production line and "hoped for the best"

My biggest concern right now is parts availability and the time it will take to ship a big piece of Filon to South FL. It took them almost a month to send warranty parts that I didn't need and could have bought at Home Depot.

Unfortunately, I will have to give the dealer and the mfg a fair chance to resolve the issue within a reasonable amount of time. If things don't work out the way they should, then we will start the "process". Luckily, we have access to many resources in the legal field.
  • We are talking 30 days NOT 30 months. It is obvious that this is a mfg issue that existed when it left the factory.
If the mfg (Keystone) is aware that this is a recurring problem , then why are they sending them out to customers ??????

The mfg. should step up to the plate by transporting it back to the factory to replace it .
If you get no satisfaction, document it , then contact the Atty. General's Office . If people don't then you are doing an injustice to yourself as well as others.
  • We purchased a brand new 2014 Bullet Premier 26RBPR and had the exact same problem in less than 90 days. My dealer said they had seen the same problem on 2 other Premiers. Dealer said the filon panel was cut to small at the factory and the proper repair would require the replacement of the entire rear filon panel.

We had way too many problems on a new trailer and the dealer service dept had nothing to offer but extremely slow service and poor workmanship. We went to another dealer and traded the 3 month old Premier in on a new Lacrosse.
  • I am sorry...that stinks! I'd ask for a new one. What else might go wrong? Good luck.

  • Contact the maker and insist they provide a remedy and service provider to correct the problem.
  • Since it is new, call the manufacture and tell them they sold a false bill of goods and that you want a new one. You may be surprised and get it. They do not want you bad mouthing them in the RV community. It is worth a try. I have seen it happen. Worst case scenario, you can get them to pay for reparis.
