LINK Wow a huge increase of 700 lbs more more tow rating than the gasser for almost $4k. Glad I didn't need the diesel option :W

People seem to be forgetting that you can get a DIESEL with much better gas mileage for about the same (or less) than a half ton with gas and worse mileage.
People that want a pickup but need better gas mileage will look at this vehicle.
Some people that just want a pickup will look at this vehicle. Heck, look at the Toyota Tacoma... it can't tow very much, the gas mileage isn't much better than the full size Tundra, they cost just about the same... but the Tacoma outsells the Tundra almost every month...
More expensive, less power, less room, less payload, less tow capability, and about equal gas mileage. Some truck buyers simply don't care about things like that and buy what they want.
Good for GM to get into the diesel market in a smaller truck. Hope they do well.
