I didn't see where the Ecoboost was mentioned in this thread about the Chevy Colorado, but the Ecoboost is not the same class of engine as these smaller diesels. It's more a direct competitor to the traditional gas V8s, with considerably more power than the little diesels and considerably less fuel mileage. Having said that, I think a midsize pickup with decent towing capacity and mid 30s highway mpg is very appealing. Too bad Ram dropped the Dakota a few years back, the 3.0 Ecodiesel would have been a very sweet engine in that truck.
