- 45RicochetExplorerI'm pretty certain the valve (single mind you) cover is much less intrusive than removing the head for dropped valves. If you call that "driveability" your one of the few.
And actually it's pretty simple once you get that darn long cover wiggled out of there. Navy Dude had a nice write up on it on this site, or maybe it was the Cummins site. mich800 wrote:

Modern as in not requiring valve lash adjustment and good drivability would be a good start.
Valve lash adjustment is due at 150k miles. Is that really asking for much? Better than valves dropping like flies, or turbo's exploding.
And it really is a non-issue. The fenders are usually gone by 150k miles so easy peasy. :W
Or the doors are blown off! Ask me how I know! :B
Either way valve lash adjustment is a trip to the repair shop however you spin it! :R And perhaps another opportunity for something else to go wrong while someone is jerking the valve cover off.- mich800Explorer

From where he is sitting things just go quiet as he coasts to a stop. Hello mom, call the hook! Should have gotten OnStar!

From where I'm sitting my truck has 67k impressive and very enjoyable miles and I expect it to continue with impressive fuel economy, impressive towing power, and impressive performance. I'm usually two truck lengths ahead when the other guy's dead peddle decides to wake up. Hence drivability!:W

- BedlamModeratorMy 60" CA chassis cab has a crew cab and 9' deck. I would have been willing to have a Mega cab and 8' deck if it was offered. With the wide front axle, it turns as sharp or better than the pickups since the wheels can cut sharper. In this video you can see my rig turning around with a 20' enclosed trailer.

They did the "long hauler" on the 84" CA chassis which makes it longer than it had to be.
